A HEADSTRONG summit brings together small groups of students from various schools for an exciting day of learning.

Youth will: hear stories of hope and recovery from speakers with lived experience, participate in thought-challenging activities; and design action plans to use when they return to school.

HEADSTRONG is an anti-stigma initiative created by the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) for youth Grade 8-12 to inspire students to Be Brave, Reach Out and Speak Up about mental health. HEADSTRONG is teaching students how to recognise and reduce stigma, and become leaders in their schools.

If you are a grade 8-12 student interested in participating, please submit a couple of sentences telling us why. A limited number of travel subsidies are available for students outside of Whitehorse.

Please email your short info on why you would like to attend to executive@ycommunityliving.com or you can drop it off at Yukon Association for Community Living or call 334-7395
